Harry S Truman once said, ?Men make history; not the other way around! In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders, seize the opportunity to change things for the better.?
Sounds about right, doesn?t it. Unfortunately, many leaders today feel disengaged and disconnected in their work and in their life? If you are reading this right now, and happen to fall into this category yourself, well, you?re not alone!
Have you ever walked into a movie 45 minutes after the movie already started? If so, you probably felt lost. Unfortunately, that?s how many of us live our lives. We are simply going through the motions day by day, and most of us aren?t even paying attention to what?s really going on!
And it?s easy for things like our life experiences, our personal struggles, and our current circumstances to get in the way of our ability to be effectively lead others both at work and at home.
As a result, it?s easy for us to become confused, disconnected from our story, and lacking in clarity and focus.
And that?s why I developed the ?Leading By Following? curriculum. It?s a process which helps today?s leaders recognize their behavioral patterns, life experiences, and their personal strengths and weaknesses.
It?s ultimately a process that helps leaders become at peace with who they are, realizing that everything in life works together synergistically to fulfill God?s perfect will.
And when we realize that it?s not about me, there?s a bigger purpose involved here, and it?s my responsibility to fulfill it; it?s in that very moment that a great leader can be born.
