Expensive Kids' Sports | Cost of Youth Sports Activities

It?s all so cute when they?re tapping their little tootsies in ballet.

Or when they try to do sloppy somersaults and crappy cartwheels.

We sparkle with pride, so we gladly shell out a few dollars to watch our ?lil buttercups in their awkward debuts of non-excellence.

Many of these early activities don?t work out, and we?re ok with that. We simply sign them up for other sports, because we feel that?s what we should do.

My daughter dabbled in dance and gymnastics for a few years, and then moved to a new school, new friends, and soccer.

She likey. Me learn to likey. Until the coach requested I buy her some expensive soccer shoes. Me dislikey.

But she was cute, and so the money went.

Suddenly, soccer stopped and she flitted onward. All she did was play outside with the neighbor boys, particularly this cutie pie from Australia.

?Twas nice, since puppy love comes for free.

Then she hit middle school and high school and she went all girly.

She became a cheerleader and a competitive cheerleader.

Cheerleading was CRAZY expensive!

When she?d had enough, she moved on to Poms.

Mama figured that had to be cheaper, but oh my holy hell, it wa$n?t.

Good thing we loved her, cuz WTF.

What kids? sports have you found to be the most expensive?
