Drake Looks To Lil Wayne, Rick Ross For Take Care Inspiration

'I just want to make this album as incredible as I can,' Drake tells MTV News of his upcoming LP.

Last year Drake had to release his platinum debut while his mentor Lil Wayne was in the midst of an eight-month jail bid. This year, as he gears up to drop his sophomore LP, Take Care, the Toronto MC is looking to Wayne for some firsthand inspiration.

"I think for me to be part of a team and have the general, the boss, go sit it down for like eight months is always a difficult thing," Drake told MTV News at the album release party for Weezy's Tha Carter IV in Los Angeles on Sunday night. "That's like a real responsibility. I'm just proud of the fact that myself and Nicki [Minaj] and the entire family were able to keep things afloat until he got out and was able to release this album."

Now that C4 is finally in stores and looks to be successful — Billboard is projecting the album to sell as many as 900,000 copies in its first week — Drake is up next.

Drizzy is currently putting the finishing touches on Take Care, and with his October 24 release date fast approaching, Young Angel doesn't have much time. Watching Weezy's work ethic gives him plenty of inspiration, even in the YMCMB crew's most celebratory moments. "It's like if I choose to go after this and go kick it with a woman or go out for drinks, I know I'm potentially slippin' because I have brothers like [Rick] Ross and Wayne that are working nonstop," Drake said of his possible post-party plans. "Me being a kid from Canada coming into this whole thing, being able to observe my heroes do this sh--, it's like all I want to do is work. I just want to make this album as incredible as I can."

Ross is also getting ready to drop an album — his fifth to be exact. His upcoming God Forgives, I Don't is due later this year, and he is proud of his friend Wayne, who closed out the 2011 MTV VMAs on Sunday and then dropped his album digitally at midnight to mark the occasion. "He dropped his album at the VMAs like a boss. That's something an artist can only dream of, when you talk about timing, after doin' time," he said before turning his attention back to his work. "So I just think it's time for us to keep focus, keep grinding. Of course, we're gonna celebrate tonight, but tomorrow we're back at it."

Though he's released a few songs like "Headlines" and "Marvins Room," it is still too early to try to make any qualitative judgment on Drake's Take Care, but it sure seems like he's putting that work in. "I really see the hardest-working people to ever do this. I see them, we speak, we have moments and talk and we're in the same sessions," Drizzy said of Wayne and Ross. "So I really sit back and digest it all and try to apply it to my own craft."

Heather Bormann to Press Charges Over Matthew Fox Crotch Punch

The Cleveland party bus driver who claims Matthew Fox assaulted her is not backing away from the allegations. In fact, she's definitely pressing charges.

Heather Bormann says Fox "smelled like a bar" and was likely drunk when she warned him several times to stop trying to get on the party bus Saturday.

But, says Bormann, the Lost actor was undeterred, and "just stepped in for a right hook to my pelvis area and started wailing on me like I was a man."

Heather says she fought back in self-defense, landing a left to Matt's jaw at one point and showed off what she says are her battle scars in Cleveland.

"I think something that's always been very important to me ... is that the fame as an art form has always been an interesting stage," she said. "It begins on the subway or in the car on the way here. Ex-Thai leader says Japan trip personal mission (AP)

TOKYO ? Fugitive former Thai leader Thaksin Shinawatra defended his controversial visit to disaster-stricken Japan on Tuesday, saying he wants to support the country that helped his own people recover from a massive tsunami in 2004.

"I feel like I'm attached to what's happening there," he said of northeast Japan, which he planned to visit this week to scan damage from Japan's huge March 11 tsunami.

Thailand's opposition has criticized his visit and accused the country's foreign minister of aiding a fugitive by asking Tokyo to grant a visa to Thaksin, who still has a two-year jail sentence for corruption to serve.

Thaksin was ousted as prime minister in a 2006 military coup and has been living in self-imposed exile. He has remained a highly divisive figure in his homeland, where he is adored by the poor masses but distrusted by the established elite, including the military.

His sister, Yingluck Shinawatra, was elected prime minister in early July, but many view Thaksin as the real power behind the new administration.

Thaksin, who arrived in Japan on Monday, told reporters that he has no plans to return to Thailand, unless there was reconciliation in the country's polarized political climate ? something he conceded was "not there."

"I don't want to fuel any more conflict," Thaksin said at a news conference. "I just want to be part of the solution, not part of the problems."

He also said he was willing to do jail time if he had actually committed crimes, but described the charges against him as "politically motivated."

Tokyo granted Thaksin a visa after receiving a request for assistance from the Thai government and out of consideration of ties between the two nations, Japanese officials said. Thai officials had explained that Thaksin's visit was to provide assistance to victims of the tsunami, said Masaru Satoh, an official at Japan Foreign Ministry.

Japanese law states that persons convicted of crimes with sentences of more than one year will be denied entry visas, but it also stipulates that exceptions can be made if there is sufficient reason, Satoh said.

Thaksin's Japanese visa has stirred up controversy in Thailand, where former Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's Democrat Party is trying to impeach Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul for allegedly aiding a fugitive by asking Tokyo for help with Thaksin's visa.

Surapong has denied he made such a request, and is suing Abhisit for defamation.

For his part, Thaksin said his sister "had nothing to do" with his trip or the entry visa he was granted by Tokyo.

With one glance you know that this is not your average Italian cookbook. The cover photo isn?t the usual beautiful food shot or pastoral Tuscan landscape. ?The Food Pusher?s Cookbook: Recollections Recipes of an Italian American Tradition,? is a homage to one such pusher: the author?s mother, Mama Melfi.

Maria Gracia Pozzolini was a 17-year old war bride, brought to the U.S. in 1947 by Frank Melfi, himself a native Italian who had been naturalized as an American citizen, only to return to Italy as a soldier to fight in WWII.

Now 81, Maria is enjoying the limelight that she is sharing with ?number two son,? still using the birth order that she and her husband used to refer to Rick and his four siblings.

The cookbook was a labor of love for Chef Melfi, who spent over two years collecting his family?s favorite recipes. ?Most are my mother?s and grandmother?s original recipes, which were hand-written and no doubt went back countless generations further,? he explains. ?The ingredients were simple, inexpensive, seasonal and local. It was really sustainable cooking long before we knew what that meant. Dad?s garden was a testament to that end.?

Melfi also includes some of his own culinary creations, served with a full plate of recollections and family photos.

It?s almost like being there. Along with a phenomenal amount of wonderful recipes emphasizing fresh ingredients and simple preparation, the reader gets a taste of what it was like growing up in a first-generation Italian-American family, in the Bronx and New Jersey, with five children, a stern father, and a classic Food Pusher.

?If you were in the Melfi household near mealtime, you stayed and you ate. Our friends were always amazed at the care taken with the food as well as the amount of it. To turn down the pasta course with the idea of saving room for a later course was a ?disgratiatzza,? and would incur the immediate scorn of Mama Melfi. The offending guests were made to feel guilty, and they would inevitably consume some pasta anyway.?

It was one of those guests who coined the term ?Food Pusher.?

The stories are as honest as the recipes. Two things aren?t on Melfi?s menu: political correctness and rabbit cacciatore. The first is Melfi making good on his vow to ?tell it as I saw it, in its entirety, with every graphic, calorie-filled detail.? The second, not unrelated, involves pet Easter bunnies and a well-worn belt strap. Enough said here.

While there?s an edge to some of the family stories, the recipes themselves burst with fresh, simple ingredients and a pure love for food. And the bounty extends to the number of recipes. Multiple Domains and SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Because the search engines, including Google, place a lot of value on the actual words in the domain itself, many people are now trying to Search Engine Optimize their web presence by buying domain names that contain their target keywords.

It's not a bad strategy because it doesn't hurt you, but how much does it really help you?

Let's say you now have 30 domains, all containing your target keywords, but not including your main website. What can you do with them?

1. Keep them registered and do nothing. This prevents competitors from registering them and using them for their benefit. End result: No SEO value, for obvious reasons.

2. Within your registrar's account, you can set up 301 Permanent Redirects for each one, redirecting them to your main website. End result: No SEO value, but if someone types in the exact domain name of one that you have registered and redirected, he/she will be taken to your main website, so you might get some traffic, but not likely and not much.

3. Use them for a mini-site buildout. This strategy is to actually use each domain on its own by building a mini-website using around it. End result: Potentially a TON of SEO value.

Let's take a look at this "mini-site buildout" strategy; the one with the most SEO value.

One by one, you take each domain and host a site for it. If you have a hosting account for your main website, chances are you can just add on new sites to that same hosting account. This is very common and you can easily find out if you can do this and how you can do this by calling your hosting company to inquire.

Once you have your hosting set up and each domain pointing towards its own mini-site, you then want to build each site.

To build each site most easily, you should do two things: first, plan all the content around your main keyword (the keyword that is in the domain name) to include both articles and videos; and second, develop the site using some type of ready-to-go website template with a built-in CMS (Content Management System). Probably the best CMS to use in this case would be WordPress because it is very user friendly, search engine friendly, easy to set up, and there are a ton of free (and well-designed) templates out there.

OK, so now you've got your domains pointing to their own respective mini-sites, you have created all the content for them, developed the sites, and finally published all that content you created on to the sites, hopefully using a CMS like WordPress to do it.

Now, keeping your main website in mind, you'll want to make sure you drive traffic from your mini-sites to your main website. To do this, simply include content about your main website in those mini-sites and include links going back to your main website. Furthermore, if you have a business phone number and operate over the phone, make sure to include your main business phone number on all those mini-sites.

There are more advanced SEO techniques you should employ; however, that is way beyond the scope of this information piece.

In conclusion, if you have already invested, or want to invest, in buying multiple domains for SEO purposes, then put them to good use. Keeping them "locked up" unused or simply redirecting them to your main website are not effective strategies. You want to use them to build out an "Internet empire" with a lot of "Internet real estate" all focused on your target keywords and eventually leading people to your main website and business.
