Business Marketing Tips for the Budget and Time-Poor

Article by Wes Towers

For quite a while now, I have witnessed quite a number of business owners who went through so much effort to gain just a bit of success for their business. Most of them believe that money is the answer in taking their business to a higher level. While I agree that money is needed to get a sales team do an advertising campaign, there is so much more to business marketing than spending dollars.

If you dig at the basics of marketing, you will see that it is a system where your offer is presented to your client or prospective client. You can get there and have this offer presented through various advertisement channels. You can also craft a system that puts your service or product in an appealing position, so your target market will be attracted to it.

The Importance of Business Marketing

There are lots of business marketing methods you can utilise without having to spend too much money.

There are a lot of business owners who believe they do not require any marketing because they think they can get by without it. They fail to remember that there is a natural process to running a business. As a business owner, you have to understand that if there is no growth daily, then your business will shrink. There is only two ways that your business can grow and that is upwards or downwards. What you do with it will decide your future.

So, here are several tactics that can be used for marketing your business offline and on the Internet that are known to bring solid and measurable results:

Basic SEO

Although a lot of people are scared of anything that sounds as technical as search engine optimisation, it is exactly not that daunting. In fact, if you were able to open an email account for yourself and log in on it, then you can also do some SEO.With just several details from your web hosting service like your password, you will already be able to make modifications to your title tags and your meta descriptions. Doing this alone is already a step towards basic SEO as well as incorporating relevant keywords into your content.

Blogging

Unlike what others think, blogging will not necessarily take up your time. You can just spend several hours on this whether you are adept at writing or not. You do not even have to write long articles to get your audience?s attention. Just come up with something that is interesting and people can relate to. You can write several short posts during the time you have allotted for blogging and automate the publication of these in your website. This way, you won?t have to worry about regularly updating your site.

Social Media

Social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook and MySpace are not just for fun anymore. They can also be used as free marketing tools for your business. You could just dedicate an hour or two of your time to this everyday and you will already be able to reach out to some of the targeted clientele you want to visit your site. Creating accounts or fan pages in these sites won?t cost you anything, just a little bit of your time.

There are still many tactics you can implement in marketing your business that will not take too much of your time or money every day. Although you would have to be patient though in waiting for their results, one thing is for sure, they will come.
