Rep. Anthony Weiner has admitted Tweeting a lewd photo of himself.
At a press conference Monday in New York, the Democratic congressman said he is taking responsibility for the matter but has no plans to resign.
Last week, Weiner -- who is wed to Huma Abedin (an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton) -- denied sending a pic of a man's crotch to a young woman in Seattle via Twitter, claiming he was the victim of a prankster. (At the time, he declined to confirm or deny whether the photo was of him.)
On Monday, more lewd photos purportedly of Weiner surfaced on Big Government, a website run by conservative blogger Anthony Breitbart, who attended the conference.? The site said the photos were provided by a woman who said Weiner sent them to her last month. Among the photos posted Monday: An image of a bare-chested man, flexing his muscles. The person is seen from the nose down. Another photo shows Weiner sitting on a sofa with two cats.
Talking to reporters at Monday's press conference, Breitbart defended his decision to post the photos. He also said other photos are of "an X-rated nature" and called for Weiner to apologize to him for his "blame the messenger" attack.?
